At Strive TMS Center (a subsidiary of Strive Mental Health and Wellness) in Shaker Heights, OH, we provide transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy to patients suffering from depression. Our goal is to obliterate your depression and help you live your best life. About Dr. Turell
Physician Jeffrey Turell MD, MPH, grew up in Houston before attending Emory University to receive his B.A. in political science. Dr. Turell pursued his medical education at via the American student program at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel. During his summer breaks from medical school. Dr. Turell embarked on medical exchange training experience in Italy and Mexico.
Following graduation, Dr. Turell moved to Syracuse for further training in family medicine when he became interested in psychiatry. He decided to complete a Master’s degree in Public Health at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and continue his training at the University Hospitals of Cleveland Case Medical Center for two years. He’s licensed to practice medicine in both Ohio and New York state.
Along with running Strive TMS Center, Dr. Turell provides adult mental health services in emergency, private and community settings at Strive Mental Health and Wellness. His professional interests include using acupuncture for treating mental health and substance use disorders, using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to treat depression and other mental illnesses, treating opiate use disorder with suboxone, lifestyle optimization to improve physical and mental health and wellbeing, and the practice of mindfulness to improve mental health and cognitive function.
When he’s not working, Dr. Turell enjoys long-distance running, travel, photography, longboarding, kayaking and spending time with his wife and two children.
